Fitzroy House

About Fitzroy House

Fitzroy House is both one of the most picturesque and historic yards, not only in Newmarket but in the country. Built in the late 19th century, it has been home to two champion trainers, Marcus Marsh and Frank Butters, either side of the Second World War.

Since those early days, the yard has been expanded and now has a capacity for 91 horses. Situated in the heart of the town, it is ideally placed to make use of the extensive gallops available to Newmarket trainers. There are literally miles of all weather gallops and hundreds of acres of grass gallops.
