Sadly HABEISHA failed to keep his good run of form going last week when failing to make any impression in his race at Kempton. He chased the leaders and was ridden three furlongs from home. He lost his place over one furlong out and was always behind in the final furlong. It was a shame that he could not keep his sequence going and we will give him an easy couple of weeks before finding another race for him.
On Wednesday we had hoped for a much better show from the ON THE HUH at Kempton and he certainly did not run as well as expected. He chased the leaders and was soon asked for his effort. He was being asked the question from a long way out and did not appear to find anything. He certainly did not run up to the standard of his work at home as he had been in great form. Later on the card BORN TO REIGN possibly did a bit too much early on and faded away in the later stages of the race. On this evidence you would say he would possibly be more at home over a mile and six furlongs, but sadly there are no races over this trip for him at the present time.
On Friday we did see a pleasing run from CHASING RUBIES on her racecourse debut. She raced prominently and did not get the clearest of runs. She looked to get tired and stayed on at the same pace entering the final furlong. She is sure to have needed the run and we will look to find another opportunity for her in the New Year.
Today we have seen an improved effort from KEY TO YOUR HEART. She raced in mid division and made some headway over two furlongs out. Ridden along over a furlong from home and stayed on towards the finish. Hopefully we will get a win in the bag with her shortly as she appears to be at home at the Wolverhampton track.
