On Monday we had declared BORN TO REIGN at Brighton with the first time blinkers. He raced towards the rear and was ridden over three furlongs out. He looked as though he was plugging away again towards the end and Louis Steward who rode him felt that he would be seen to better effect over further. Hopefully we will find a suitable opportunity for him before the season ends.

On Tuesday we had declared a nice two-year-old colt at Leicester making his racecourse debut called MEZAJY. He chased the leaders and was ridden over two furlongs out. He looked to get tired entering the final furlong and stayed on at the same pace to finish fourth. He is sure to have come on for the run and should go close next time.

Tonight we have declared the two runners at Kempton. We start off with AROUSAL who looks to have done really well for a spring break. She has the draw against her, but if she can overcome that she should give a good account of herself. We round the meeting off with BY JUPITER who is certainly capable of winning races. She appears in good form and hopefully we have found a race she can be competitive in.

On Thursday VALEN takes her chance at Wolverhampton. She has been slightly disappointing so far, but hopefully this is the race that she can turn her season round in. She has ability and hopefully race conditions will suit her.

On Friday we start the afternoon off at Doncaster where BANZARI steps up into group class. She looks to have come on for her second at Salisbury and worked nicely this morning under Frankie Dettori. Sadly he is unable to ride her as he has been claimed by his retainer to ride their horse. It is a big step up in class and it would be great to see her run well. Later on the card RAVEN RIDGE takes his chance. He always gives a consistent effort of himself and hopefully with the first time sheepskin cheek pieces it will be enough to finally get his head in front. We round off the day at Sandown where INVOKE is looking for a change in fortune. She is a consistent filly who has failed to get her head in front this season. We have applied the visor for the first time and hopefully this will help with her chances in the race.
