Sadly FASHION LINE did not run as well as expected at Lingfield. Dropped back in trip on this return to the all weather, she made late progress from the rear and may have preferred a stiffer test. She has been on the go since January and could just been feeling the effects of a long season. At Catterick HYPERLINK gave us our first win of the day. He was always prominent and led early on. He was pushed clear two furlongs out and was ridden along inside final furlong, keeping on strongly. It was a good ride by Alex Ferguson and nice to see the horse bounce back to form. At Sandown TAPER TANTRUM provided us with our second winner of the day. He put his experience to good use to get over from his high draw and bag the rail out in front He never saw another rival after that and proved much the best here. Hopefully he will now be competitive in nurseries. Our last runner at the track was GEORGE CINQ and he went into the race on the back of his Ascot win a week ago. He travelled like the best horse in the race and looked sure to win when cruising into contention around the outside. He did not find a great deal once in front and appeared to idle a bit. He would have been better suited by a strongly run event as he is the type who needs delivering late.

On Friday JARGON kept the good week for the yard going when he went on to score at Brighton. He appeared to overcome a nightmare passage through to win with tons to spare. He was fifth of seven on his debut at Windsor last month and he has looked to have come on for that run. George Baker gave him a good ride and was forced to take evasive action as the runner-up drifted into his path and he did remarkably well to recover. Switched to the outside, he picked up in good style. He is bred to get further than this and should be competitive in nurseries. At Leicester VALEN was held up towards the rear and looked to be racing a bit keenly. She made some headway over two furlongs out and was ridden over one furlong out. She stayed on at the same pace inside final furlong, but could only manage fourth. Our last runner was at Doncaster and that was TARANDO. She tracked the leaders and was ridden along. She took a while to get going and kept on in the final furlong to finish fifth.

Yesterday we were delighted with the effort from THUNDER IN MYHEART at Newmarket. It was a really good run from the worst of draws. She was always kept prominent and was ridden over one furlong out. She ran on to go second near the finish and we were delighted with her effort. She showed signs of greenness and the winner had previous racecourse experience on her side.

Yesterday the horses worked on the Peat Moss Gallop
