On Tuesday we headed to Beverley with ARABIAN JAZZ. She had been placed in each of her three starts and did not do a lot wrong here. She contested the lead but just found one too good. It is possible she did not stay the stiff seven furlongs at Beverley and will be more at home on a flatter track.

Tonight we have seen a rather below par performance from FIRST DRIVE at Kempton. She has been working well a home and so we certainly expected better. She looked quite keen early on and raced up with the pace. She was asked for her effort with a furlong left to run but soon dropped away. We will see how she comes out of the race before making further plans. Later on the card INSTANT KARMA takes his chance at Kempton where he won earlier in the season. Hopefully he can regain his form after a couple of moderate efforts.
On Thursday we have declared the two runners at Newmarket. We start the afternoon off with recent Salisbury runner up THEGLASGOWWARRIOR who is hoping to go one better. He is due to go up two pounds and with a good apprentice on board, hopefully he should go close. Later on the card we have HART STOPPER running. He is running of a six pound higher mark which will make things tougher but he is open to further improvement.
On Friday we start the afternoon with SHIMMERING LIGHT at Doncaster. She ran a nice introductory race at Newbury on his last start and hopefully she has come on for the run. She looks a progressive filly and hopefully will keep improving. Later on the card FIRE BRIGADE takes his chance at Yarmouth. He has been in great form this year and hopefully will keep progressing. In the evening we head to Newmarket with MAORI BOB. He ran well on his last start after a three month break and looks to have come on for that. He is capable of winning again and hopefully with Lulu Stanford’s five pound claim he will go close again. We round off the day with JE SUIS CHARLIE who goes into the race on the back of his third at Brighton. He has really found his feet of late and after two decent efforts hopefully he can get another win by his name.
Today the horses worked on the back of the flat.
