We were pleased with the effort shown by MERLIN at Redcar on Monday. He travelled really well throughout the race and when asked for his effort he could find no more and was just held at the finish. He is sure to come on for the run and hopefully we will be able to find a winnable opportunity for him next time.
Today we head to Newmarket with JE SUIS CHARLIE. He ran really well at the track last season and he has been going nicely at home in his work. It looks a tough contest, but hopefully he can be competitive. Our only other runner is at Wolverhampton where HART STOPPER takes his chance. We feel he will be suited by the step back up in trip and hope he can be competitive. He has been working nicely at home and should hopefully run well on his handicap debut.
Today the horses worked on the Peat Moss.
