BIG ORANGE has returned from Hong Kong in good form and has returned to Stetchworth Park for a well-deserved winter break. Things in Sha Tin did not go his way as he was slow away from the gates. He was hustled along to race handy and when asked for his effort it soon petered out. He certainly deserves his break and we will prepare him for Dubai in the New Year.
On Monday we headed to Wolverhampton with Kissinger. He disputed the lead early on and when asked for his effort he struggled to quicken with the pace. He looks as though he may appreciate a bit further and hopefully we can find a race he can be competitive in.
On Wednesday GENERAL HAZARD was hoping to keeping his good run going. Stepped up in trip he looked the likely winner when leading rounding the final bend. He was just worn down, but it was another good effort and hopefully he should be capable of winning again.
On Thursday we headed to Chelmsford with the two declared runners in the same race. MAORI BOB was settled off the pace and was soon pushed along. He made some headway to pass beaten horses over one furlong out, but never got dangerous. He is always going to be a horse for next year as he still has to fill his frame and with another winter under his belt he could be a nice prospect. PREOBRAJENSKA was also in the race and she had been off the track since June. She disputed the pace into the straight, but then weakened. She should come on for this and possibly just needed it.
On Tuesday we have declared GLASSALT. She looked very green on her first start and hopefully will have learned a lot from that. She remains in good form and should show some improvement.
The yearlings are cantering now and I have attached a few links of them cantering.
