We were delighted to get another winner on the board on Sunday with INSTANT KARMA provided us with the third winner of the week. He was travelling particularly nicely when moving into a challenging position turning in. He was in front before the last and took the race in a nice fashion. It would be great to see him follow up this win as the key is the ground as he just does not handle cut. Everything went his way and he travelled and jumped nicely
On Monday we headed to Windsor with TAPER TANTRUM being our only runner after the withdrawal of BATTS ROCK. He was taken wide from an early stage and heading far side in the straight. He ran well, but unfortunately could not get back up to get his head in front. It was another consistent effort and he certainly deserves to win a race.
Today we start the afternoon off Lingfield where SCIARRA is hoping to break her maiden tag. There are a couple that look well treated, but we are expecting her to run well. Later on the card TAUREAN STAR make his re-appearance after the Britannia at Royal Ascot. It looks quite a good race, but he appears in good form and has been working well at home. Hopefully conditions will remain in his favour and he will go close. This evening we head to Yarmouth where RONALD R is making his re-appearance after a decent effort at Newbury on his racecourse debut. He appears to have come on for that run and we expect him to run well. We round the evening off with ROSECOMB who has failed to impress so far. She is better than she has shown and after a mini break hopefully she will do herself justice.
On Thursday we have declared PARSNIP at Chepstow making her racecourse debut. She looks to have progressed in her work and although up against a big field we expect her to run an encouraging race. We head to Epsom with MACHINE LEARNER who goes into the race on a decent effort at Newcastle last time. He remains in good form and hopefully with the first time visor it will bring about some more improvement. We round off the evening with GOODWOOD MIRAGE at Doncaster. He ran a much better race on his last start at Yarmouth and appears in good form.
On Friday we head to Newbury with the two declared runners. We start the afternoon off with PURPLE MAGIC who heads into the race on the back of her recent Catterick win. She worked nicely this morning and looks to be in great form. Later on the card GIANT REDWOOD takes his chance. He ran well at Musselburgh last week and providing the race has not come too soon for him he should run well. At Nottingham we have declared BONHOMIE who should have a good chance. She worked nicely last week and really appears to be coming together. We round off the day with DUCK A L’ORANGE at Pontefract. He certainly has not been performing as expected and hopefully he can start recreating how he performs in the mornings to how he performs in the afternoon.
Today the horses worked on the Summer Gallop
