On Monday AKSUM was taking her chance at Brighton. She took a keen hold early on and failed to settle which certainly did not help her cause. She has come out of the race well and we will try and find a similar contest for her.
Today we have seen a really good effort from FORTH BRIDGE. He was always kept handy and when asked for his effort he battled well to keep the favourite behind him. He looks a really nice staying type who looks to have the scope to keep improving.
Tomorrow we start the afternoon off at Newbury where we have declared the three runners. RONALD R starts the day and he looks to be a nice two-year-old type. He has put in some decent work and we expect a good debut run from him. Later on the card SHOW LEGEND is hoping to get back on track after a couple of tame starts. He is working well and hopefully is appreciating this warmer spell of weather. We round off the afternoon with DUCK A L’ORANGE who seems to have really progressed from his Leicester run and although a competitive enough contest he should run well. At Yarmouth we have declared four runners starting the afternoon off with a nice two-year-old filly making her racecourse debut called PREOBRAJENSKA. She has been working nicely at home and although she will probably need the run she has certainly show signs of ability. Later on the card GOODWOOD MIRAGE is looking to put a disappointing effort at Newmarket behind him and bounce back to form. He looks really well in himself and we know he has ability. WAR DEPARTMENT is our third runner and after looking a promising two-year-old he has been struggling to find his form this season. He should be helped with the seven pound being taken off his back with Lulu Stanford’s claim and it would be good to see him run well before the July Sales. We round off the afternoon with GENERAL HAZARD who if he can reproduce his debut run at Kempton should be very competitive.
On Friday BOCKING END starts the afternoon off for us at Sandown under the ex-champion jockey Ryan Moore and hopefully she can go one better than her last start at Wolverhampton. On Friday hopefully we might need to dial 999 as FIRE BRIGADE makes his much anticipated debut at Goodwood. He has done nothing but please at home and should run with great credit.
