We are delighted to have reached the forty winner mark which came courtesy of FRANKLIN D on Tuesday. He had been stepped up in trip by another furlong and did really well to win this competitive event. Held up off a steady pace, he had to cover a lot of ground on the wide outside turning in to get a clear run and needed every yard of this trip to grab the race near the line. He has now gone home for a well-deserved winter break and should hopefully be a nice prospect for next season as he is still lightly raced. On Thursday we were delighted with the effort shown by CHELABELLA. She was always kept prominent in the race and kept on well to regain second in the closing stages. She is steadily improving and has the option of switching to handicaps now. She will go for her winter break on Tuesday and with another winter under her belt she will hopefully mature as she looks a progressive type. Later on the card CARTER PACE took her chance in the second division of the race. She was always behind and looks to be moderate.
Today we have declared STRATHEARN at Chelmsford. He will hopefully take to the surface and should give a good account of himself. He has been gelded since his last run and this just might bring about some improvement.
Today we had a few working on the Cambridge Road.
