On Sunday we were delighted with the effort shown by TAPER TANTRUM who ran with credit on ground that would not have been to his liking. He made a bold bid to lead all the way and kicked from the home turn. He was holding all his other rivals before the winner swept by. It was a good effort and he will now head to the Horses in Training Sales.
On Monday we headed to Yarmouth with just the two runners after the withdrawal of GEETANJALI. We had declared both SHERIFF and JAWAN in the same race and both failed to make an impact. SHERIFF chased the leaders and when asked for his effort appeared to be struggling entering the final furlong. We know that he is better than this and we will see if anything comes to light to explain this performance. JAWAN travelled up with the pace and could find no extra when coming under pressure a furlong from home.
Today our only runner was at Nottingham and that was HOT OFF THE PRESS. She looked very green early on and never really got competitive. We know she is better than this run would suggest and I am sure she will be more switched on next time.
Today the horses worked on the Back of the Flat
