On Friday we headed to Doncaster with the two declared runners. We started the afternoon off with SAILING HOME who ran a nice race on her racecourse debut at Nottingham. She was always up there and stuck on pretty well as she was off the bridle some way out. She is bred to stay further and looks a nice prospect for next season. Later on the card we were really hoping that Ben James would get another winner on the board for the yard before he leaves for Australia. Sadly it was not to be and the filly appeared to struggle on the ground. She looks to be an all-weather filly and head to the Horses in Training Sales now where someone will pick up a nice filly. There certainly looks more to come from her.
Today we were delighted with the effort shown by TOWERLANDS PARK. Off the track since December and now gelded, he travelled well off the pace and stayed on nicely. He will have needed the run and could revert back to the all-weather if there is nothing suitable on the turf as he is two from two on these surfaces and hopefully he can now have a trouble free campaign over the winter with him.
Tomorrow we head to Leicester where FIRE BRIGADE takes his chance. He has been so consistent and it would be great to see him finish for the year with another bracket by his name.
On Tuesday we head to Catterick where ae are hoping that NURSE NIGHTINGALE can get her head in front. She was unlucky last time when she looked as though she was going to win just getting caught in the dying stages of the race. She returns to the turf tomorrow where hopefully she will finally have her day. In the evening we head to
