On Thursday our only runner was TAPER TANTRUM at Chelmsford. He settled nicely and when asked for his effort, he stayed on well enough but was never gaining on the first pair. It was another solid effort and hopefully he can get a win on the board before the Horses in Training Sales.

On Friday we started the afternoon off at Sandown with TAUREAN DANCER. He was settled towards the rear and when asked for his effort he looked one paced. He is now eligible for a handicap mark and hopefully he can be competitive off is mark.

Later on the Thirsk card HART STOPPER got held up in traffic but finished pretty well. Things did not fall his way, but he showed he’s still in the sort of form that can see him win something similar off a strong gallop.

We rounded off the day with ARMAGNAC who went on to win the apprentice race. Always in the right place at the right time, he was given a lovely ride by Tristan Price who got him up on the line. He is entered next week and we will see how he has come out of the race before making further plans.

Today our only declared runner was GRACELAND at Chester. Settled towards the rear she was asked for her effort with three left to run. She plugged on at the same pace but could not sustain a challenge to trouble the leaders.
Tomorrow we head to Brighton with JIVE TALKING. A creditable fourth of seven at Salisbury last time she appears in good form and hopefully she will give a good account of herself.
