On Monday we started the day off at Stratford where INSTANT KARMA was making a return to the jumps. He did not jump fluently at the fourth and was never in the race after that. He is definitely better than the run would suggest and we will see how he is over the next few days before making further plans. In the evening, we were delighted to get a win on the board with HART STOPPER who scored at Windsor. A close third over seven furlongs at Wolverhampton on his previous start, he had only two behind him when dropped out from his wide draw over this shorter trip. He picked up well in the closing stages and showed a good attitude to fight his way through a narrow gap to win. He looks to be progressive and hopefully is capable of winning again. Later on the card BABAMUNCHKIN was settled towards the rear and made some progress with three left to run. She could not muster a challenge entering the final furlong and finished in a midfield position.
On Tuesday our only runner was at Leicester when ARABIAN JAZZ took her chance. She travelled nicely and when asked for her effort she battled well to finish second. She looks as though she will appreciate a step up to six furlongs and should go even closer next time.
This evening we head to Chelmsford with FABRICATE. He has run well in his two starts so far this season and should appreciate the step up in trip.
On Friday we head to Ascot where GRACELAND takes her chance. She is a consistent filly and gets on well with Louis Steward. Hopefully the ground will not inconvenience her, but she would possibly benefit from some rain. We round off the afternoon at Nottingham where AIR MINISTRY takes his chance. He is a quirky horse and looked very green at Yarmouth on his second start. He is sure to improve with his racing and should be suited by the track at Nottingham.
Today the horses again used the watered gallop
