We were delighted to get another winner on the board when MAORI BOB went on to score at Lingfield in the apprentice race on Wednesday. He looked to appreciate the step up on his handicap debut and he had also been gelded since last start.  He was given a well-judged ride from the front, kicking for home off the final bend to take a length or so lead on his rivals. He did well to battle to the line winning by a whisker. He is in again at Newcastle on Wednesday and at this stage it looks as though he will take his chance.
