We were delighted to get a win on the board with FABRICATE at Leicester yesterday. He was travelling strongly and fought back well. He is very genuine, tough and seems to appreciate a bit of dig in the ground. There was plenty of pace on and when we got a run at them, he finished his race off strongly. It was a good effort and we were delighted to get a win on the board before the Horses in Training Sales.
Today DAVEY BOY never got in his race at Nottingham and again failed to show what was expected. He is certainly working better at home in the morning than he is showing on the racecourse. He still has the option of headgear.
Tomorrow we head to Chelmsford with PURPLE RAVEN. She ran nicely at the track on her last start after having had a break in August. She certainly has ability and it would be great to see her get a win by her name before the sales in three weeks’ time.
On Friday we head to York where NOTALOT takes his chance. He has had a busy season and it would be great to see him go in again. It is a tough contest, but hopefully he can go close with the valuable seven pound taken off his back. In the evening we head to Newcastle where we are hoping for a change of fortune with THREE DUCHESSES. Fingers crossed she can go one better as she ran a nice race on her last start at Wolverhampton getting going a bit too late.
Today the horses worked on the watered gallop
