On Monday we were delighted to get a win on the board with BONHOMIE at Wolverhampton. She had the run of the race and battled gamely when challenged. She should progress a little more and hopefully can win again.
Tonight we head to Leicester starting the evening off with BOCKING END who has been stepped back up in trip. She is such a consistent filly and hopefully if she stays further it will open up more opportunities for her. Later on the card CHELABELLA is hoping to get back on track. She shaped with promise on her first three runs and has slightly lost her way. She has been working nicely at home and hopefully with the help of the sheepskin cheek pieces it will bring about the necessary improvement.
Tomorrow we head to Goodwood with our first runner at the big meeting. BIG ORANGE is hoping to score is second victory in the race and he has been in great form since his fantastic win at Newmarket. Hopefully he will be able to keep his fantastic run of form going.
On Friday we have declared to two runners at Goodwood starting the afternoon off with FRANKLIN D. He heads into the race in great form after his recent Newmarket win and he should hopefully be capable of winning a contest like this. We round off the afternoon with NOTALOT who has got into his nursery with bottom weight. He has been runner up on his last two starts and so it would be great to go one better, but it will be a tough ask in what looks quite a competitive little nursery. At Newmarket we start the evening with SHOW LEGEND. He would appreciate some rain as he is certainly better with some cut in the ground. He is another who has failed to find his form so far this season after a promising two-year old career. He will run wearing sheepskin cheek pieces, which will hopefully encourage him along. He is definitely working better at home than he has shown so far. Our last runner is DUCK A L’ORANGE who is another failing to recreate what he shows in the morning on the racetrack. As you will see from his work below, he again worked well and hopefully we have found a race he will be able to get off the mark in.
