On Monday we headed to Leicester with the two runners. We started the evening off with SHOW LEGEND who failed to see out the trip and we will drop back to six furlongs as he is by Showcasing and there is also sprinting in his pedigree on the dam’s side. Later on the card we were pleased with the effort shown by DUCK A L’ORANGE who looked more at home on the quicker ground and did well to reach second from well out the back off a steady pace. He has been declared for Ripon tomorrow and providing that they do not get too much rain he should have a great chance.
Yesterday we headed to Nottingham with THE MAJOR. Held up towards the rear he looked very keen and although he did make progress in the straight it was without threatening the principals. He has had two relatively quick races in succession now and so we will see how he is before picking him up again.
On Friday we head to Haydock with the two runners starting the evening off with a nice two-year-old colt making his racecourse debut. HART STOPPER came from the Guineas Breeze Ups and has pleased since he arrived. His work has been good and it will be great to get our first two-year-old runner on the track to give us a line with the others. Later on the card ALCANAR make his reappearance after 64 days off the track. He looks to be back in good form and should hopefully give a good account of himself here.
