We were delighted with the effort shown by HART STOPPER on his racecourse debut last night at Haydock as it turned out that there were quite a few fancied horses in his race. He was slowly away and gave them all a head start. He looked a bit outpaced and green early on and kept on nicely in the later stages of the race. He should come on for the run and I am sure that he will be more clued up next time having had a run under his belt. Later on the card ALCANAR tracked the leaders and was asked for his effort. He was eased when he weakened and may have just needed the run.

Today we start the afternoon at Goodwood with GIANT REDWOOD. He worked nicely on Wednesday and hopefully will give a good account of himself dropped in Handicap Company. He is lightly raced and looks to have ability. Later in the afternoon we head to Newmarket where we are hoping FRANKLIN D can get back on track. He is a horse that has shown plenty of promise and has had a nice break since his last run at Lingfield in February. He has been working nicely at home and hopefully things will be in his favour here. We round the day off at Chepstow with SCIARRA. She is tackling seven furlongs for the first time and if she gets the trip we expect her to be competitive. She has a valuable seven pounds taken off her back and she looks to keep improving.

On Monday we have declared NOTALOT at Leicester. He was not showing a great deal on the gallops, hence his name until he was applied with a visor. He seems to have really knuckled down in the headgear and it would be great to see him run a nice race here. Later on the card STRATHEARN has been declared and he has been working well at home and really seems to have come to himself now.
