Wednesday 30th March
March 30, 2016
Today we started the afternoon off at Lingfield with AKSUM who was having her first run for the yard. She was slowly away and was a bit unlucky in running. After missing the break she was always going to be up against it, but she was running on nicely at the end and maybe a mile may just suit her better. Later in the day at Southwell was making his handicap debut. We thought that he would probably need the run and although he was kept handy he looked to get tired entering the final couple of furlongs. He should improve for the race and hopefully will be competitive next time.
We have entries coming up next week, with the recent Fakenham winner INSTANT KARMA having options on Monday at Warwick and also on Tuesday at Ludlow. We have also entered BATTS ROCK who looks a nice maiden three-year-old at Pontefract and SCIARRA has also been entered at the track.
Today the horses did their first piece of work on the Back of the Flat grass gallops
