On Tuesday we had declared KAISAN at Wolverhampton. He was steadied once in front and tried to quicken off the turn. He could sustain his effort and finished third. He is now eligible for a handicap mark and hopefully he will be treated fairly. He is capable of winning races and should keep improving.
Giant Redwood and Big Orange (Orange Jacket)
On Thursday we were delighted with the effort shown by BOCKING END at Chelmsford to score her first career win. She has been applied with a first-time hood as it appeared to be working at home. She raced prominently and when asked for her effort she stuck on to the task well. We thought she may just need the run, but she won nicely and Jamie felt that she would be better on the turf on easy ground.
Taper Tantrum
Yesterday AID TO AFRICA failed to build on his maiden run at Lingfield here eight days earlier. Having made a brief effort against the rail on reaching the straight; he sadly could not land a blow this time. There is more to come from him and hopefully he will break his maiden tag soon.
