Saturday 19th September

September 19, 2015

On Thursday after the abandonment of Yarmouth it just left us with a runner at Ayr and Chelmsford. We started the action off at Ayr with INSTANT KARMA. He raced handily and had every chance up the straight. He was carried slightly right in the final furlong and although it did not cost him the race he certainly stopped him getting second. At Chelmsford BELLA BLUR ran a nice introductory race. She seemed to get the hang of things late on and was doing her best work towards the end of the race.

On Friday we had sent BIPARTISAN up to Ayr. Held up towards the rear, she was asked for effort after the leaders had kicked and got going too late to make any impression on the outcome of the race. Later on the card at Newbury BERLAND attempted to make all and looked to get tired in the last two furlongs of the race. He has been off the track for a while and so was entitled to do.

Tomorrow we only have the one declared runner at Newmarket that being GRACELAND, who has been in great form since York. She is capable of winning again and hopefully we have found a race she can be competitive in.

On Monday our only runner is BAREFOOT DANCER. He will run wearing sheepskin cheek pieces and hopefully this will bring about the necessary improvement for him to finally get his head in front

Today the horses worked on the Back of the Flat Gallop
