On Monday we headed to Kempton with BAREFOOT DANCER. He led to halfway and was ridden to lead again over two furlongs out. He shifted left and was headed well over one furlong out. He struggled in a class 3 over fourteen furlongs at Sandown last time, but this was better a much better effort. Later we headed to Leicester with GOLDEN HELLO. He was wearing the first-time cheek pieces replacing the visor and had plenty to find over a furlong out. He only looked to get going once the race was over.
Tonight we have TAPER TANTRUM running at Kempton. He heads into the race on the back of a decent run at Doncaster and hopefully he can go one better.
On Friday we head to Newmarket where BLUE MOON RISING makes her racecourse debut. She will probably benefit from the run, but looks a nice prospect in the making and is certainly one for next year. Later on the card MACHINE LEARNER is looking to build on his recent Lingfield win and he certainly looks to have come on for that run. Gelding him seems to have done the trick and hopefully he will prove a progressive type. We round off the day at Thirsk with LE ROUQUIN. Hopefully switching back to the turf will not prove a problem for him and he will give a good account of himself.
Today the horses worked on the Summer Gallop
Duchy (J. Spencer) and Blue Moon Rising (ChesnutĀ – L. Steward)
