On Tuesday we were happy with the run from THATCHEREEN who would have certainly needed the run having been off the track for 256 days. She was in a poor position when the race began in earnest rounding the final bend and her final position was as close as she could get. It would be no surprise to see her fare a lot better next time as she will have needed the race.
Tonight we head to Bath where BORN TO REIGN is looking to get back on track. He appears in good form at home and hopefully he will give a good account of himself. Later on the card PENANG PAPARAJAH takes his chance. He was unlucky last week at the track only being beaten by a whisker and it would be great to finally see him get a bracket by his name.
On Thursday we start the afternoon off at Doncaster with GIANT SHADOW. He has failed to perform so far and hopefully he will start to knuckle down and use up some of the ability we know he has. At Newmarket it would be great to see BIG ORANGE hit form again. He has been slightly below par in his runs so far this season and a return to twelve furlongs may just suit him. Later on the card TAPER TANTRUM takes his chance after never getting into his race at Ascot last time. He has been training nicely since the run and we expect a good effort from him. We round the day off at Newbury where MODEST is hoping to open her account. She did some nice work last week with BIG SKY and on the evidence of this you would give her every chance.
On Friday we start the afternoon off at Ascot with GOLDEN HELLO. He has been gelded since his last run and with the first time visor hopefully that will provide the improvement needed for him to get his head in front. At Chepstow we start the evening off with STONE ROSES. She has been running consistently this season and deserves to get a win by her name. ON THE HUH did not run as well on his last start at Newbury but has looked good in his work at home on the watered gallop working with the inform THEM AND US. The ground might be slightly on the quick side for him, but we are hopeful of a good run as he has been working well. We round the evening off at Chester with BANDITRY who is looking to get another win on the board. The visor worked last time and with the inform Louis Steward taking the mount it would be great if he could get another win on the board.
This morning the horses worked on the watered gallop.
