We have only had the one runner so far this week and that was yesterday when STARHTEARN took his chance at Ffos Las. He certainly appeared to have improved markedly for his debut and looked to be doing his best work late on. He already looks as though he will appreciate further and looks a nice prospect for next season.
Today we start the action with BORN TO REIGN at Bath. He heads into the race in good form and is always capable of winning. Later in the day at Lingfield STRAIT OF MAGELLAN is looking to go one better than his last start. He was slightly unlucky not to hold on to his victory last time and was just worn down in the dying stages of the race. He has been applied with sheepskin cheek pieces and hopefully this will just keep him mind on the job in hand.
Tomorrow we start the day off at Sandown where BAREFOOT DANCER takes his chance. The race looks a good opportunity for him to break his maiden tag. Later on the card FRANKLIN D make his re-appearance after his fourth at Chelmsford in April. He has been working well and certainly looks good enough to do himself justice in the race. We round off the day at Newbury in the evening with JARGON. He is another who has worked much better lately and hopefully if they got some of the rain that is about, this can only help his chances.
On Friday STONE ROSES takes her chance after her recent Chepstow win. She appears in good shape after that run and should give a good account of herself.
Today the horses worked on the Watered Gallop.
