Today we have declared BANZARI and GRACELAND at Chester. BANZARI is entered in the Oaks Trial and she would need to run well in this to keep her Oaks dreams alive. She has been working nicely and with conditions in her favour hopefully she will give a good account of herself. Later on the card GRACELAND takes her chance. She really seems to have improved since her win at Wolverhampton and should take all the beating.  In the evening we head to Chelmsford with three runners. We start the evening off with SAVOY SHOWGIRL who has been in good form at home. She appears to have wintered well and on last year’s form we expect her to shape up nicely this season. Later on the card we are expecting a better show from ROCK OF MAX. He was disappointing last time at Newmarket and we know he is much better than this run would suggest. He was slow on leaving the gates and was always behind. I am sure he will be kept much closer to the action here. We round the evening off with ORANGE BLOOM who should hopefully run with encouragement in her contest. We feel the step up in trip should suit her and she should be competitive although the Hughie Morrison horse looks tough to beat.

We have no runners tomorrow and then on Friday we head to Lingfield with BAREFOOT DANCER. On the evidence of his Haydock run you would expect him to go very close and he certainly looks the part in his work since his return. At Chester BIG ORANGE makes his seasonal re-appearance and I have been impressed with the way he has been working. He always gives his all and seems to have a great rapport with Tom Queally. In the evening we have our second two-year-old runner making her debut called MODEST. She worked well this morning with two other maiden fillies and we feel she will give a good account of herself.  At Nottingham we start the evening off with THUNDER IN MYHEART. She was unlucky on her last start at Beverley, coming up against a horse on the top of his game. She has been working nicely and should give a good account of herself. We round off the evening with MY STRATEGY who had two quick races fairly close together. He has been given a bit of time to come to himself and looks ready to do himself justice.

Today the horses worked on the peat moss.
