Sunday 12th April
April 12, 2015
On Wednesday we started the afternoon off with THEM AND US. He raced quite keen early on but stayed on well towards the finish and should step forward from this. After 132 days off the track it was a good effort and hopefully he will go close next time. Later on the card SAMPERA headed to Nottingham. She was making her handicap debut and kept on right the way to the line. Maybe the ground had not dried up enough for her to show her best efforts and on a better surface, hopefully she will do herself justice. In the evening we headed to Kempton with BIPARTISAN and CHASING RUBIES. BIPARTISAN stayed on well after looking slightly outpaced early on. She will come on for the run and this should now put her spot on for next time in a similar contest. Later on the card CHASING RUBIES was being tried in a first-time hood. She was hampered soon after the start and never really got into the race. She has been slightly unlucky now on her last two starts deserves a change of fortune.
On Thursday BORN TO REIGN was slightly disappointing having gone into the race on the back of a win. He dropped right out in the closing stages and after having an easy time of things after his victory he may have just needed the run. He has come out of the race well and we will see how he is before making further plans.
We have a quiet start to the beginning of the week and then on Wednesday it looks as though NEYMAR will make his racecourse debut at Newmarket’s Craven Meeting.
On Friday the two-year-olds worked again on the Back of the Flat. Click on the links to watch the work.
