On Friday we had declared two runners and both meetings. We started the afternoon off at Lingfield with CHASING RUBIES. She appeared to take a keen hold early on when held up in touch. She was badly hampered on the bend two furlongs out and this put pay to her having any chance in participating in the finish. She has come out of the race well and we will see how she is before making further plans. She was certainly very unlucky here. Later on the card JAYEFF HERRING ran one of his better races. He travelled well for the majority of the race and when asked for his effort he was forced wide by one of the other runners. On the evidence of this run you would be confident that if things go right for him he would be capable of winning a similar contest. It was great that Lulu got a clear round this time and hopefully things will go in his favour on his next start.

The horses are starting to be cranked up a notch now and it is really great to have Louis Steward back from Dubai. He was riding out for the first time this morning and it is good to have him back. Hopefully he will have another fantastic year.
