On Friday we started the afternoon off at Doncaster where MANTOU ran a good race. He stayed on well from the rear and a return to mile or maybe a bit further should suit him now he is qualified for handicaps. Later on the card FIERY SUNSET again looked quite keen. She looked caught for speed by the three in front of her after being switched out for a run and was staying on nicely down the centre of the track. She might just appreciate a bit further. At Haydock TARANDO was withdrawn due to the ground.

Today we started the afternoon at Leicester with INVOKE. She chased the leaders and was ridden over two furlongs out. She stayed on at the same pace inside final furlong and appeared to run to her rating. At Haydock WIGMORE HALL was again disappointing although the ground had definitely gone against him. Slowly into his stride, he made some headway on the inside over three furlongs out and was soon ridden weakening two furlongs from home.

Tonight we are left with SILVER MIRAGE at Nottingham and hopefully she will give us a change of fortune. She appears in good form and it really would be great news to get a winner on the board.

Today the horses worked on the peat moss
