It was great to get a winner on the board on Thursday which came courtesy of GALIZZI at Wolverhampton. He was held up towards the rear and made some good headway over three furlongs out. He chased the leaders over furlongs out, when shaken up to lead inside the final furlong. He is a scopey colt, who should do himself justice in handicaps.

On Friday we had declared our first turf runner that being SWORD OF THE LORD. He gave another good effort being held up towards the rear. He made some good headway over two furlongs out. He was ridden and edged left with every chance inside final furlong and stayed on at the same pace to finish second. He has really got his act together and hopefully he will find more winnable opportunities this season.

Today we have seen DORSET GIFT take her chance at Lingfield on her racecourse debut. Slowly into her stride she was always up against it and finished down the field. We expect better from her and I am sure with a run under her belt she will be a lot straighter next time. We had expected a better effort later on the card from ZAKYNTHUS who travelled well for the early part of the race. He was asked for his effort and did not find as much as we had hoped. Hopefully we will be able to find a winnable opportunity for him shortly as on his homework he should have no problems winning again.

On Monday we have declared an un-raced three year old in NAM HAI. He was liked a lot last year, but immaturity kept him off the track. He has come to hand nicely this season and although he will probably need the run he is capable of winning races.

Today the horses worked on the peat moss.
